I am sickened at this.  I don't know if I remember some of these details - maybe I managed to shut them out because of how GOD-DAMNED sick they are.  But someone needs to go down for this shit.  I am sick to my stomach that this was done in our name.  I don't care if it brings down the whole fucking congress.  This needs to come out, and anyone who signed off on this needs to pay as high a penalty as we can place upon their spineless motherfucking souls.

They were sodomizing children!!! What the hell!!

Torturing Democracy

Saw this the other night on PBS. Apparently it was a rebroadcast of a special they had ran about a year prior.  It was an expose of the evil that America has committed in its misguided War on Terror.

It is entitled "Torturing Democracy" and can be seen in its entirety here:

This stuff is not pretty, but I think it is necessary viewing for every American.  We should know what is being done in our name so that we might call for full investigations into these acts.

This is the only way that justice will ever return to our shores.

This is the only way that the rest of the world will ever respect us again.  This will take decades to heal, and will only happen if and when we can face what happened and do something to correct it.

Charles Grodin Owns Hannity!

What a  great moment this was!  Charles Grodin was on Hannity's show last night (22 April 2009) and the subject of "enhanced interrogation" came up.  Grodin press Sean on the fact that he didn't think that waterboarding was torture, and asked Sean if he had ever been waterboarded.  Sean weakly, said "No, but Oliver North has, and I've talked to him about it."  Then he said that he would be willing to be waterboarded for charity!  

Now, let's put aside the fact that Oliver North is on my short list of people who deserve to be waterboarded (Google "Iran Contra Affair"), I would really like to see this happen, and would be glad to pitch in $10 to see it come to pass.  

Who's with me?  I think there is a petition website.  I think I'm going to find that now and see if I can't get this ball a-rolling!

The Treasonous Acts of George W.

In this article Naomi Wolf interviews Michael Ratner about the implications of the Yoo memos.  Memos which have just been released to the public that detail the 'legal' framework with which the Bush administration hoped to justify their various, questionable activities.  Ratner explains that the memos show that what the administration was doing was nothing short of treason, and that they need to be held to account for their crimes.

Changes to the Soldier's Creed

I don't remember hearing about this, but I was watching FSTV last night and this came to light.

Apparently changes were made to the creed that American soldiers are supposed to adhere to.

Previous Version:

Jon Stewart Skewers Jim Cramer and the CNBC

This was INCREDIBLE!!  Man!  Stewart has never done this before to my knowledge.  He spent a whole 20 minutes with his guest, and he completely blasted him.  He wouldn't let him off the mat.  Jim was visually chastened at the end of it all.  If you haven't seen this yet, it is an absolute must see!  Check it out HERE!!!
